The Cocoa Lestari Program is an initiative program implemented to increase the potential and preserve cocoa and make this commodity the flagship of the Bumi Mekepung area, another name for the Jembrana area, which began in 2011. This program is a collaboration of several parties with a Public Private Partnership (PPP) approach.

Initially this program only covered 11 Abian Subaks (farmer groups) with 152 farmers, but then it has grown until now 41 Abian Subaks have joined with a total of 700 farmers. Guaranteed sustainable markets with a transparent system, support for various trainings, access to quality seeds and other benefits have attracted farmers to join KSS cooperatives.

The main focus of the KSS Cooperative's struggle and program is: improving the quality of cocoa beans through fermentation and the strength of a 100% organic system. With this perseverance, they were able to bring the KSS Cooperative as the first and only Organic EU and USDA certificate holder in Indonesia.
